VOLUNTEERS
We are indebted to the many volunteers that help to run our market. It is their commitment and enthusiasm that allow the market to enjoy continued success. If you are interested in helping please use our contact us page here and fill in the form with your details and we'll get in touch.
CAFÉ
We have a rota for the kitchen and are always welcoming new helpers. We like to have about 3 or 4 staff in the kitchen, but one will always be an 'old hand'. Typical jobs the volunteers are asked to do are take customer orders, prepare and serve the tea and coffee, serve pastries and bacon baps. You can volunteer as much or as little as you wish, from one market a year to several markets.
SETTING UP/ CLEARING UP
This does not take a long time, usually about three quarters of an hour, but many hands make light work. We usually set up on Friday at 5pm and clear up at 12.30 immediately after the market closes.
LEAFLET DISTRIBUTION or PUTTING UP POSTERS
We love to tell anyone and everyone about our wonderful market and we are so grateful to the small team of leaflet distributors. If you think you could distribute some leaflets or put up posters in your local area then we would be extremely grateful.
